We are delighted to announce that Max and Molly’s Guide to Trouble: How To Catch A Criminal by Dominic Barker and Hannah Shaw has been selected for the Read by Yourself category of Richard and Judy’s Children’s Book Club 2011.

Dominic Barker studied English at Birmingham University before joining the comedy circuit as a stand-up comic alongside the likes of Frank Skinner and Alan Davies. After a spell as a secondary-school teacher, Dominic turned his hand to writing.

Hannah Shaw is a hugely talented illustrator of the award-winning The Great Hamster Massacre. She has also written and illustrated several successful picture books, including Evil Weasel and Errol. She was shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize in 2009 with Crocodiles are the Best Animals of All.

Richard and Judy’s Children’s Book Club, exclusively with WHSmith, launches on 27 January 2011 with books in three categories; Read Together, Read by Yourself and Fluent Reader.
